Erin Ivey at Folk Alliance 2023
Hello!
Thanks for visiting. I invite you to hear my latest album Solace in the Wild on streaming platforms or on Soundcloud.
Thanks to all the Folk DJs who have played these songs, every song on the album has found airplay on radio stations across the world. It reached #5 on the FAI Folk Chart, was named BEST of 2021 by Sun Radio, Austin360 and Austin American-Statesman, and was on the 64th GRAMMY ballot for Best Folk Album and Best American Roots Song for "Dust Bowl." DJ Kevin Connor named "Where Have You Been All My Life" Song of the Year.
Solace in the Wild is cinematic folk with psychedelic touches, recorded with an acoustic band at Blue Rock Studios in Wimberley, Texas. The songs explore the terrain of our human experience grounded in American history ("Dust Bowl," "Charleston"), allegory ("Jealousy," "Honest Man"), imagery and inspiration from the natural world ("Lost Girl," "Joy").
